The Great Insect Karma

First, while chatting on MSN, I realized there’s a brown line forming on the corner of my keyboard. Oblivious to that, I continued to type happily away until I looked closer and realized it’s a SWARM OF ANTS!!!! Yikes!!
i jumped out of my seat, startled at this swarm of ants infesting my keyboard. Must have been that drink on the table earlier. Well, have to use a wet cloth to wipe away the ants; mother ant, father ant, baby ant and the extended family.
Then, I noticed there’s a bee on the floor. My instincts told me to hit it flat like Garfield with the spiders. However, having read a book on Karma that Siew Ping kindly lend me earlier, I thought to just leave it alone. After all, the Karma book states that when you kill an innocent being (be it human, animal or insect), you’re committing sin and it will get to you in your next life. Heck, I do not want to be a bee in my next life.
Then, I got up to head to the dining room for my dinner. Just 5 steps and OWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! I accidentally stepped on the bee. It mischeviously crawled its way into my path, purposely trying to get me to step on it so that it could sting me. Well, it succeeded in its mission and my foot is still having this slight tingling sensation. Guess I should have hit it in the first place, but why did Karma said I shouldn’t? Well, the book did mention that if a person gets stung by insects or bitten by some animals, it means he has hurt too many people in his previous life. OK, so this is Karma for me for what I did in my previous life? Guess I’ll have to accept it.
